Hastings Town Deal Open Day - Saturday 3rd October 10am to 4pm, Priory Meadow Shopping Centre

Hastings Town Deal Open Day - residents, businesses and visitors are invited to find out more about the projects transforming Hastings at the Hastings Town Deal Open Day, taking place on Saturday 3 October, from 10am to 4pm in the central atrium at Priory Meadow Shopping Centre.

The free event will provide updates on the £24.3 million Town Deal regeneration programme, giving the public the opportunity to meet the programme team and delivery partners, hear about progress across a range of projects, ask questions and share feedback.

Visitors can learn more about completed projects that are already delivering benefits for the town, alongside updates on major schemes currently under way, including:

  • Troika Projects, showcasing progress on the West Hill Project, including the reopening of Hastings Castle and their programme of events, and plans for the new West Hill Visitor Centre with restaurant, café and events space

  • East Sussex County Council, providing updates on the Hastings Town Centre Public Realm and Green Connections project, alongside public art specialists INSTAR, who are delivering the town centre Public Art Commission

  • East Sussex College Group, sharing the latest developments on the newly built Green Automotive Centre of Excellence at the Ore Valley Campus.

The Town Deal programme team will be available throughout the day to discuss the wider Town Deal programme, and to hear directly from the community about their views and priorities.

Cllr Julia Hilton, Deputy Leader of Hastings Borough Council and lead councillor for Shaping Places and Community Wealth Building, said: “The Town Deal programme is helping to bring long-term investment into Hastings, restoring important heritage assets, improving public spaces and creating opportunities for residents, businesses and visitors. With many projects already completed and others reaching key milestones, it's encouraging to see the programme making a real difference across our town. This open day is a chance to see that progress first-hand and find out more about what's still to come."

Graham Peters, Chair of the Hastings Town Deal Board, said: " The Town Deal programme has already delivered a number of projects that are making a positive difference in Hastings, and we're now at an important stage as some of our key projects continue to progress. This event is a great opportunity for residents, businesses and visitors to meet the teams behind the projects, hear about the progress being made and ask questions. We look forward to welcoming the community and sharing how the programme continues to invest in the future of Hastings."

The exhibition is free to attend, and no booking is required.
